Here is a brief history taken from the official Syrian. Trailaghi follows the thread of other important Trail born in recent years in the Canavese territory. In fact the path is designed precisely in an area inside the Morainic Amphitheatre which hosts the Morenic Trail, the trail of Lake Viverone (Lake Eco Trail The Canavese) and the night on the trail of the wine hills of Erbaluce Caluso ( erbaluce night trail). This area known as Five Lakes Area is of great geological interest stems from an intense erosive activity of the Baltic Glacier where rocky bumps, even of considerable size, alternate with depressed areas home to numerous lakes and lake basins (Bog of Chiaverano, dancers lands, …).
The route of the race, which takes place in pairs, side by Sirio lake in the direction of Lake Cascinette. Here runs for about 1.5 km, in a rather flat and fast, that will allow couples to “crumble” according to their own pace. Soon after, the path gets rough and technical with a first ascent, which joins the road leading to the Castello San Giuseppe. Passing through the peat bog Chiaverano, you reach the area of Montresco Bienca and then runs a quick stretch in the soft meadows of Maresco (testimony of an ancient lake), in the north-east direction, until you reach the dirt road leading to the village San Pero. After about 3 km of single-track in the above returns in the municipality of Bienca and head towards Lake Nero. After walking along a section of the lake, a new path up the hill, in a wood, it leads on top of a panoramic off, called “The May”. It falls PIstono lake, at the point of the lake barrier over the town of Montalto Dora and ride alongside the lake basin for about 200 m, and then enter an area of great natural interest: Le Terre Dancers. You then follow each other traits rapid winding up to 18 km, where they will begin the last steep climb of about 200 m D +, to the summit of Mount Montesino. The summit is a panoramic point, where on a clear day you can admire the mountains of the Valle d’Aosta on the left and all the plain of Canavese right. It therefore falls to reach a part of the dell’Ivrea Monbarone path, that path will be, for a stretch, in the opposite direction. A few more kilometers with a small climb, until an almost magical place called the Flat Stone, or Punta Ballerina. After a short descent, then back on a stretch of path that the first leg, on the trail of the Castle of St. Joseph with the final arrival at Lake Sirio.
